Arizona InfraGard

Public Meeting

(Phoenix) The Phoenix InfraGard Chapter holds its monthly meetings from 1:30 until 3:30 at the University of Advancing Technology (UAT, formerly UACT) located at 2625 West Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ 85283-1042.  The meeting is open to the general public, except as noted in the meeting announcements.  Meetings are scheduled for the third Monday of each month, except for holidays when it is moved to the fourth Monday. The 2003 schedule is 4/21, 5/19, 6/16, 7/21, 8/18, 9/15, 10/20, 11/17, and 12/15.  The speakers and topics will be posted as soon as the calendar is filled. 

The April 21st meeting will feature John Thomas, SecureLogix (San Antonio), speaking on the need for telecom security.

ISSA (Phoenix chapter)

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is a not-for-profit international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides education forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. April 1, ISSA meeting at DeVry, (campus to be decided). This will be a round table discussion on risk assessment in which Kimberly Rallo will share some of what her organization has done.

May 6, ISSA meeting at DeVry, Scottsdale campus (directions to be posted later). Subject to be decided.

AITP (Phoenix chapter)

"The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization seeks to provide avenues for all their members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the IT field, all in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers." ICCA (Phoenix chapter)

The Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA) is a national not-for-profit association, founded in 1976 with headquarters in St. Louis. ICCA provides professional development opportunities and business support programs for independent computer consultants. ICCA has chapters in many major metropolitan areas representing nearly 1500 consulting firms nationwide. For more information about ICCA, visit the HQ website at www.icca.org

The ICCA Phoenix chapter meeting will be held on 10/8/2002.  The meeting is a
dinner optional one at the Executive Park Hotel at 1100 N Central, Phoenix, AZ.
(Just off I10, exit at 7th St. or 7th Ave and migrate back towards Central.  The
Hotel is adjacent to the park that is on top of the tunnel.) Cocktails start at 06:00.
Dinner is at about 06:45. Meeting at about 07:00-09:00.

Other Professional Groups

We will be offering space here for announcements important to the IT community, such as meeting dates, times, and locations. If we do not have the actual schedules, we will add links to the appropriate websites. We hope to do this for IEEE/ASM and any other organizations that have an interest. Stay tuned and check back often.
